Awards to USA and Canada charitable organizations to recognize programs that serve local communities. Organizations are nominated by the funding source and winners will be determined by votes. Awards will recognize activities addressing education, nutrition, housing, and the environment. Organizations must be based in the USA, Puerto Rico, or Canada to be eligible.
Sixteen organizations will be awarded for their work in these areas.
Caring for People (four winners): Programs or projects supporting educational initiatives, including fostering character and leadership development, academic excellence and community involvement in underserved youth.
Caring through Food (four winners): Programs or projects focused on addressing hunger and food insecurity facing children and their families.
Community (four winners): Programs or projects focused on providing housing and other direct services to support young people and their families.
Caring for our Planet (four winners): Programs or projects that show care for the environment and the planet, or that demonstrate environmental stewardship through initiatives directly related to the other True Inspiration Awards categories of food, community and people (i.e., community beautification, education opportunities, community gardens, outdoor classrooms, etc.)
Organizations must be a (i) a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. or Puerto Rico or (ii) a Canadian charitable organization that can provide an opinion of counsel that confirms it is the equivalent of a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity in its home jurisdiction. Organizations must be based in the U.S., Puerto Rico or Canada to be eligible.
Ineligible
Organizations who received a True Inspiration Awards grant in 2022 or 2023 will not be eligible to apply for the 2024 True Inspiration Awards.
Pre-Application Information
Applications for the 2024 True Inspiration Awards will be accepted March 1-June 1, 2023.
