Grants to Iowa local governments, private sector carriers, utilities, and other entities in eligible locations to provide broadband service to local residents. Funding must facilitate at least 25/3 broadband service in targeted areas that are underserved or without available broadband service. Applicants must provide services in Targeted Service Areas, within which, as of July 31, 2020, no Communications Service Provider Facilitated 25/3 Broadband; or that is materially underserved or without meaningfully available 25/3 Broadband.

The total amount of State funds sought may not exceed thirty-five percent (35%) of Applicant’s estimated Total Project Cost.
Projects must be completed by no later than five (5) years from the date this NOFA is issued.
