Grants of up to $25,000 to Iowa nonprofit and for-profit organizations to address inequities in eligible communities. Priority will be given to programs that align with one or more of the following service areas: employment, health, criminal justice, housing, building community, and education. Eligible applicants must be principally and physically located in Iowa City.

This grant opportunity is available to Iowa City-based organizations, both non and for profit, with the purpose of encouraging, empowering, and engaging social justice and racial equity initiatives through programs, activities, or services that help eliminate inequities in the Iowa City community.

Applications will be accepted Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021 through Friday, Jan. 7, 2022.

The Iowa City Human Rights Commission will review all applications and make funding recommendations to the City Council no later than Thursday, March 31, 2022. Funding will be awarded by June 1, 2022.
